Small Fire at the Hometown Restaurant
A grill fire yesterday at the Hometown Restaurant in Dracut wasn’t so bad.
“Looked a lot worse than it was,†Deputy Fire Chief Mike Ralls said., The fire started in a grill in the restaurant at 1084 Lakeview Ave. about 4 p.m.
The blaze initially came across as a building fire in a commercial strip, which had fire officials calling for all available engines. But workers already had extinguished the flames when firefighters arrived, Ralls said.
The eastbound lane on Lakeview Avenue at Pleasant Street was closed by Dracut Police as a result of the fire.
